Welcome To Our Blog!

Hello to all our family members, friends, colleagues... anyone else who might have stumbled across our blog!

If you're reading this, you've probably heard the news.... we're adopting!

We've so excited to be starting our family, and while the journey ahead of us is long and probably challenging in places, we know it'll all be worth it when we can finally bring our little one home with us.

So, why did we start a blog?

The both of us are blessed with pretty sizeable families, some of which live countries all over the world... that's a lot of people to keep up to date! And when you add friends and colleagues to that number, well, it's an even bigger number! #maths

We know that adoption isn't something that many people in our lives have experience with, but a lot of you will come on this journey with us, from stage one right up to the point we're in family court celebrating our little ones adoption order. We know there will be questions and information requests and update requests... and we want to be able to give all of you all the information you need / want.

We created this blog, and this whole website, for you. It's a place you can come:

• For regular updates on our journey

• To ask questions

• To learn about our parenting styles

• For resources that we recommend you read/watch/listen to

Essentially, this is a central hub that we'll be using to keep you all as up to date as we can during what is going to be an incredibly intense time.

Please take advantage of all of the resources we've provided you with on this site, we've selected the core pieces of information that you are all going to need to know when the time comes to bring little one home.

We'll also be sending out frequent 'newsletter' style emails to everyone that has signed up to receive them. This will just be a way to let you know we have some updates for you about our journey, or new resources we've found that you should check out!

Finally, we'd just like to emphasise that we want you to ask any question that you feel you need to ask. This is a brand new thing for all of us, so always ask the questions you have because it will benefit us all in the long run. We might not have the direct answers for you, but we'll be able to point you in the right direction at least!
